Areas of expertise

Tethys Tectonics Consultancy provides you with the context and knowledge you need on (plate) tectonic history, in particular of deformed areas including the Mediterranean region, India-Arabia-Asia collision zone, and the Caribbean region. Current research focuses on the circum-Pacific (Andes, Scotia Sea) and SE Asia (Banda Arc).

On this page, reconstructions of the three corner stones of Tethys Tectonics are provided, with references to the relevant publications that contain the details of these reconstructions. GPlates reconstruction files are available at www.geologist.nl under 'reconstructions'.
